MEPHISTO

Founded in France in 1965 by Martin Michaeli, Mephisto have constantly pushed to create the best walking shoes in the world. While this has meant that the range has expanded massively there is a core of styles that have become famous throughout the world for their unique styling, comfort and durability. The Rainbow being one such style, often regarded as the Mephisto shoe.

While there are many styles, they are all made with the finest of materials. Leathers are sourced in regard to their quality and durability along with where and how they are processed. Many of the range are still made with traditional methods, a moccasin construction being used where cheaper alternatives would give the same impression but not the durability and comfort that this time consuming and expensive method is known for.

The company is still a family owned business, with Michaeli head of the board and family integrated in to its structure. Their shoes are also still made in Europe, taking advantage of the expertise and experience of the work forces who have decades in the same business, ensuring that all of their shoes meet their vigorously high standards.
