The Barbour story began in 1894 in the Market Place in South Shields in the North East of England. Over 130 years on and now 5th generation, the family-owned business remains in the North East. Barbour’s headquarters, located in Simonside, South Shields is also home to the factory where Barbour’s iconic Bedale and Beaufort wax jackets are still manufactured by hand and where customer services lovingly re-wax, repair and Re-Love wax jackets and mend quilts by hand enabling customers to extend the lives of their jackets.

Barbour offers a wardrobe of stylish functional clothing for men, women, children and dogs inspired by the unique values of the British countryside. This includes shirts, trousers, knitwear, dresses, accessories and footwear alongside Barbour’s legendary outerwear. Barbour International, inspired by the company’s motorcycle heritage since 1936, became a stand-alone brand in 2013 with its own identity, look and feel.

We are very happy to stock both their classics that they've always made along with their comtemporary updates and collaborative items. All are still made to the same standard and with the same eye for function but some with more of an eye on the future.
